LOOKING FOR FAMILY OF GIDEON & ELIZABETH (BETTIE) CAPPS GARRETT
I am searching for relatives of a family who lived in eastern N.C. in the early 1900's, named Gideon and Elizabeth (Bettie) Capps Garrett.Their daughter, Missouri Garrett Munden, was my g-grandmother.She and her husband, Simon Munden, had my grandfather, Charlie Munden, in 1894, and two other living children, Mary Elizabeth Munden b. Jan. 1899, and Haywood Munden, b. Oct. 1899. Missouri died before the younger children were two years of age.Her parents, Gideon and Bettie Garrett, reared the two younger children, and according to the 1910 census, both were still living in their home.Haywood moved to eastern VA., married, and had a large family of his own...I cannot find anything about Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) after the 1910 census. She may have died, or she may have married and lived a long life, too.IF ANYONE knows of the Garrett family, and has any information about their grandchildren, please get in touch with me at:[email protected].
I have been searching for "Lizzie" for many years now, but have found no trace of her after 1910.Haywood's family lives in the Norfolk, S. Norfolk (now Chesapeake) area of VA., but I have not been able to contact ony of his children or grandchildren yet.
Thank you,
Brenda Munden Treul
