The Henry Garritson who married Elizabeth Cantwell died intestate in 1716 not 1721.
Letters of administration were granted to "Elizabeth Garretson, widow of Henry Garretson, late yeoman of New Castle Co, 4 May 1716, by Silvester Garland, Deputy Register of Probate." Perhaps the original record (Book C, vol 1, p43) is very fragile because the microfilm at Hall of Records, Dover, contains a modern typed copy of this document.
Her 1742 will is recorded but I don't have a copy to share. This Garretson-Cantwell family was rather upper class compared to poor ole Henry and his ne'er-do-good brother Paul. Elizabeth Cantwell was connected to Deputy Governors, High Sheriffs, Surveyors General, Justices-of-the-Peace and Assemblymen. The other Garretsons, from which I may descend but have no proof yet, were not in that level of society.
