Hoping to find the parents of Reed Garretson born 1816-17 in Ohio, various census suggest his father was born in New Jersey and mother in Virginia.
He married 1846 in Switzerland County, Indiana to Emeline Eliz. Bradford. Children ~ Sophronia born 1848 Indiana, Susanna born 1850 Indiana and Charles W. born 1857 Illinois.
Reed Garretson and family lived 1850 in Posey, Switzerland Co., Indiana; 1860 Senachwine, Putnam Co., Illinois, 1870 Madelia, Watonwan Co., Minnesota and 1880 Rosendale, Watonwan Co., Minnesota.
Reed Garretson died 21 July 1898 in Watonwan County, Minnesota.
