Hugh and William are the same person, it just depends on who is giving the info. A relative who has done extensive work on the Garren Family had the Marriage Cert.
Also in the Snowden book it says Sarah dau of Israel Snowden maried Hugh Garren. I have thought of the two names also. We have all gotten stuck on Hugh. Can't seem to find his parents. He can be found with wife #1 Nancy in 1860 and 1870. Can not find him and Sarah in 1880 but found his youngest child living with people by the name of Bambrick. In the Snowden book it says he is a boatsman.

We would like to know when and where he died. Most of his children are in the Jefferson and Columbiana Co area. A few are buried in Robinson Twp Washington Co PA. Some think Hugh and Sarah may be buried in Ohio perhaps near their son, William.

I hope I have been helpful to you. if you would like to have copies of what I have; send me a note on my personal email.
