Thank you for the census information. I know that this is not you line so wondered if you want me to keep you informed of any other information I get on Jacob Jr's. father etc. I have just sent out snail mails to a couple of people who wrote articles about the Garrard family in a book on the history of Marshall Co. AL. Their articles give information about the line back to Peter Garrard who was a French Huguenot who came to America about 1685 via Britain. I asked them for sources about this information. If I get a response I will be glad to share,
