My ancestor is Milly Ward who I believe to be a daughter of Jacob Garrard Jr. I am posting the followin information in the hopes that it helps someone and also brings me closer to proving who my Milly is (although I am certain she is a Garrard and would like to find proof) While there are other chidren listed for Jacob Garrard I am only including the ones on which I have found information. Milly(Malinda)Garrard b. 1793 m. James A. Ward James Garrard b. 1793 m. Rebecca Pennion (is he a twin of Malinda?) Wiley Garrard b. btwn 1790/1800 m. probably to Isabell Johnson, Wilkes Co. GA. April 27, 1820 Samuel Garrard b. 1601 d. 1863 m. Elizabeth ? Mary Jane Garrard b. 1803 m. Micajha Miller Jacksom Co. GA Dec. 14, 1826 Sintha (Centhia) Garrard b. 1808 d. 1868 probably DeKalb Co. AL m. William Mullins, Walton GA Feb. 12 1826. Daniel Garrard b. 1809 d. 1856 m. Probably Martha Berea, Hinds Co. MS abt 1840 Census informaation linked to the above 1830 Jackson Co. GA James Garrard - page 332 Jacob Garrard - page 332 Micajah Miller - page 333 (husband of Mary Jane) 1830 Hall Co GA Wiley J Garrard - page 74 Samuel Garrard - page 72 1840 Dekalb Co AL A.J Ward - page 170a (son of Milly) Bethel Crump - page 170a (son in law of Milly) Micajah Miller - page 171a William Mullins - 171a (husband of Cynthia) Jacob Garrett - page 171a This Jacob and his wife are next door to the Mullins family and are the right age to be Jacob and Elizabeth Garrard. I found through other research that Garrard was most liked pronounced with a hard A so that it sounded very much like Garrett. James Ward - page 176a (husband of Milly) 1850 Marshall Co Al Micajah Miller - page 186 Jaco Jarrard - page 186 (living with the Miller family) 1850 Dekalb Co. AL Above mentioned Wards on verious page William Mullins - page 350 (Living with the Mullins family is Jesse Gholson age 17 (who has ties to the Ward line and Isaac Ward age 20 who is the youngest son of James and Milly) 1860 Marshall Co. AL James Garrard - page 857 Samuel Garrard - 859 I also found a record for a Daniel Garrard for land in Leake Co MS dated 2/27/1841. Don't know if this is the above Daniel or not but if it is there is a lot of land records for a William Garrard in MS which could possibly lead to that William being a son of Jacob as well. this is just speculation however. Welcome any input into the above and information on any other children or ancestors of Jacob and Elizabeth. Sonya Smith Notify Administrator about this message?
