Anthony Garrard, son of Jacob, christened at Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia, 1756.
Anthony married Elizabeth Green(e) [Va to NC to Ga?] and had
Jacob married 1813 Martha Newsome Hardin [Georgia] and had
William Waters Garrard married 1843 Frances Urquhart [Georgia]
A good number of "records" cite the first Jacob as marrying Sarah Waters. These are found in the Garrard, Waters and Hardin pedigrees.
The name Mildred, however, is said to be in the Overwharton Parish registry as the mother.
A Helen C. Chapman noted in 1999 on this subject that "there were many Sarah Waters in this family" .... which family is she talking about, Waters or Garrard or something else altogether?
Anyone with "facts" ha! to substantiate the wife of Jacob Garrard at Overwharton Parish with his bona fide son Anthony in 1756 would be appreciated.
