Thanks for writing back. My grandfather, Michele Garofalo, was born in 1887. Your message made me curious because my family was friends with a Talarico family from Petilia Policastro. They all ended up in the same town in Southwestern Pennsylvania. My grandparents also had 11 children. Two died as children and nine of them grew to adulthood. Only three remain living. I'm wondering if Francesca could have been an aunt of my grandfather's. I've been trying to find out who his parents were, but no one seems to know. A couple of years ago I went to visit a first cousin of my father's, she was 92 and in a nursing home. All she would say was that her mother, Mary Garofalo Serianni, raised my grandfather and she did not know the names of their parents. Now she is deceased.
