I think I can be of some help in your hunt for your ancestor Achilles GARNETT and his family.
According to my records, this Achilles GARNETT [known as "Killis" GARNETT] was born in 1736 at Essex County, Virginia. He was the son of John GARNETT and Hester NOEL and the grandson of a previous John GARNETT and Mary FOGG.
This "Killis" GARNETT married Jane FAULCONER on November 19, 1759. They had a total of nine children, namely: Seneca GARNETT; William GARNETT; Sarah [or "Sally"] GARNETT; Mary GARNETT; Frances GARNETT; James GARNETT; Robert GARNETT; Thomas GARNETT; and Achilles GARNETT Jr.
Their sons Robert and Thomas GARNETT married GWATHMEY sisters. Robert GARNETT married Mary Temple GWATHMEY and Thomas GARNETT married Catherine GWATHMEY. Seneca GARNETT married Fredrick NOEL. Frances GARNETT married John BRADBURY.
