Bryce, I am also very confused by all the Thomas Garnetts and Elizabeth Muscoes. According to my records the Thomas and Elizabeth whose children are mentioned in the will submitted by Mr. King., also had another eldest son by the name of Anthony. My lineage follows this Anthony. There were two other Anthonys. John Garnett of St. Anne's Parish, whose will was probated in 1713 took the "Jun." after his name. The other Anthony died before 21. There were other Thomases. We know Thomas (first generation) was baptized in Lancashire, England on Dec. 14, 1595. He came to Virginia in 1610, and was followed by Elizabeth(b.1598/9) who came on the ship "Neptune", in 1618. They had three children, Susan, John and Thomas. John (second generation) was shown living in Elizabeth City County sometime after 1635. He had two children, John and Thomas. Thomas(third generation) I have no info on. His brother John (third generation) is the father of the Thomas(fourth generation) whose will was printed. They also had two other siblings. The Anthony who died young and name unknown-probably a daughter. Since fire took so many of the early records it can become quite confusing. Hope any of this info can be useful. I took this info from a book that our family published titled "Garnett Genealogy of Robert K. Garnett and His Descendants". Happy hunting!
