Sorry, don't have a clue re Ellen Miller of Pennsylvania. However, in looking into the Garnet family through wills, court records, etc., have found that (in the early days, at least) the name was spelled Garnet, Garnett, and even Gunnet. I have even tried "Guerrant," as there are some Guerrants distantly in our line, with no luck, unfortunately,

So even though the name is spelled with one t in your records, it could be spelled differently in other records . . . have you tried military pension records from PA or NY? Possibly this Garnet served in the WBS and he or Ellen applied (years later).

Good luck!
