I show that Joseph was married to Madge Gallman, daughter of Henry Thomas and Rapsey (Irene). She was living with her brother Miles in Lockhart on the 1900 census. Josephn and Madge are buried at Foster Chapel Cemetery. Joseph Garner was the son of Clem, who was the son of Frank who was the son of Enoch, son of Lewis in the Garner-Keene line. I am descended also from Frank Garner on my fathers side and his brother Bully on my mother side. If Madge was a Gallman or a Gault, she probably had Catawba (Waxhaw) or Cherokee indian blood. There was a small settlement of Inidans across the Pacolet River, but I have not been able to find out much info. My grandmother said her Grandmother (Josephine Smith) was Indian, but I have not been able to find any links
