Verlee,
The birth year for John Garner sounds about right in 1788. I do not know about his father,James Giles. And I have seen online where Vincent's father's name might have been John OR James. I have found no proof however.
I am trying to find the father of Vincent/Vinson Garner b 1809 in SC died 1863 Elmore Co, AL. I have many of his decendants with birth/death/marriage/military records for a lot of my direct ascendants if anyone would like to compare notes.
I also cannot find where in South Carolina that Vincent was born.
I appreciate any help you may have for me.
