I am searching for any information I can find regarding Presley Garner who owned a ferry at the Wateree River in Richland County, South Carolina.
He was born ca 1750 and died ca 1730s (working from memory here). Presley married Betsy Avent in Greensvile County, VA in 1786. He was present in Richland County for the 1790 census.
The Killingsworth family was associated with him in Richland County.
Also I am interested in John Garner who received a land grant in that same area in the late 1700s. I have read that John Garner died ca 1792.
Any leads would be appreciated.
