Census says Daniel was born in NC, but I don't have birth place for Selah. I haven't had a chance to check Cemetery records though I can view both the Carroll and Montgomery County Cemetery Books at my local archives. The only Garners I really could trace past 1860 were Dianah and her brother William Wallace. There was another brother George Franklin and possible Andrew (at least one other Garner in the Carroll County census of 1850 was a brother to my line and Andrew is the only one in the right age range), but I can't find Andrew or George after that census. I can't even prove that Dianah and one of her sisters married the same man but certain marriage records suggest that showing a William Daniel Herring marrying both Dianah and a Susan Garner. I used to have the address of another person researching these Garners. I haven't heard from him in a while so I don't know if he has come across more information than I have found. I will see if I can find his email address.
