These are not the same Michaels.One of the Michaels from NC moved to Mississippi and lived just about as long.So name all your sons Michael if you want them to have long life.
I suspect that the NC and SC Garmons are related.If you will look on the maps where they were located they were not that far apart though different states.Mine were located almost on the NC line.
Michael, George, Adam, etc. were names that Garmons seemed to love, and they seemed to love to pass them down generation after generation.For instance, in my line there are four Ollie Lorance Garmons.My number three grandson, Rowan, is the at least the third with this name.By the way I know my great grandfather Rowan had a G. as his middle initial.It wouldn't surprise me if it was the abbreviation for "George".
