Hey Jim!
I've seen the UNK name in a few trees, but nothing to prove that this was her last name - but...... a lead to follow.Interesting about the wife Susan Albright.I have Benjamin Franklin Garman's wife as "Hannah" and his birth-death as 1828-1856).This I found in one of the many censues that I have been scouring.I've also contacted the Library in Lycoming (Williamsport) as they have quite a write-up on Henry Garman (his life and his obituary). He was, as you know, the first child of George and Rebecca.I'm still trying to find out the names of his unknown siblings and am hoping that as he was the eldest -just maybe the articles will name his siblings who he was survived by (by whom he was survived??).Also trying to track down the parentage of a Lawrence Garman, born 1835/36.He was married to Elizabeth____ and had children Horace, Edith, Arabell "Mary", and Maud (a son, Bruce, died young).Edith, Mary and Maud never married and were in Jersey Shore in 1910.Lawrence died sometime between 1902 and 1910 and had lived in Muncy Boroughin Lycoming in 1860, Turbotville in Northumberland in 1870 and 1880, and in Jersey Shore in 1900.His wife, Elizabeth died in 1902 in Jersey Shore. He too was a jeweller/watchmaker and George and Rebecca's grandson, Harry,(son of Henry) apprenticed with Lawrence in the early 1860's - so I am presuming that he was a close relative.Any thoughts or new gleanings??
Sue
