Hello: I am trying to connect with descendants of the Garlingtons who settled in Bowie, Texas in the late 1800s and early 1900s. John Wesley Garlington of Chambers County, Alabama brought his large family to Bowie and operated a grocery story there for many years. Later four of his nephews followed him to Bowie. The nephews, sons of Henry Washington Garlington, were also from Chambers County, Alabama. They were John Ed, Harry, George, and Joseph Summers who was nicknamed "Uncle Rastus." I am interested in exchanging information and photos about this branch of the clan.
