Hi Chris,

I think maybe I mentioned to you that I did not find evidence that John Mair and Barbara Mair were siblings. There were in fact many Mair's in Ellon. I will have to take a trip over to my family tree at ancestry and let you know the conclusions I found on the Mairs.

While we are on the subject of this family....if any one would have photos of any of the Garland/Mair descendants in Scotland or England please let Christine or me know. We'd love to have some pictures e-mailed to us. Between Chris and I, we have a very large percentage of John and James Garland's descendants identified.

**Also of interest to us are the descendants of Charles Garland who died before 1841. His widow and children were in the 1841, 1851 census at Ardlethen, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. We aren't sure what Charles's relationship was to Thomas Garland Sr. or to John Garland (1713-1801) but would like to know.

**We are also interested in the descendants of Mary Garland and George Ruxton Sr. Having found Mary's birth record, we know she was the illegimate daughter of Thomas Garland Jr. of Ardlethen.

Sue
