I searching for my 2G grandfather Selucius Garfield and was quite excited to see your message. Unfortunately, they are not the same person since my Selucius was born in 1822 in Shoreham, Addison County, Vermont. Nevertheless, I wonder if there is some connection, because I have never found another person named Selucius. Do you know where the name comes from? I don't know anything about my 2G grandfather's parents or siblings. Does your family have any roots in Vermont? I'd appreciate any information.
