THANK YOU!!I've been searching for the Palmatier line for a while to no avail.This really helps.
Regarding Collins Gorton and Rebecca Palmatier's line, they had eight children, as follows:
Elmira Gorton (b. Aug 28, 1848, married Solon Stoddard)
Julia Gorton (unknown)
Juliette Gorton (b. Jan 12, 1851, married Emmet Sturdevant)
Sarah A. Gorton (b. June 11, 1853, married Joseph William)
Mary E. Gorton (b. Jan 26, 1856, married Main Stoddard)
George P. Gorton (b. July 21, 1858, unknown if married)
Belle Gorton (b. July 5, 1862, married Charles Benedict)
James H. Gorton (b. Dec 7, 1864, married Margaret Bliven)
Collins and Rebecca were married on Dec 2, 1847.Collins died in the civil war at Raleigh, NC on June 2, 1865.They lived in New York State.
Elmira Gorton had the following children:
Mary Stoddard (dates unknown)
Laura Stoddard
Katie Stoddard
Phebe Stoddard
Letitia Stoddard (married Isaac Mead)
Mary E. Gorton had one known child:
Mabel Stoddard (b. May 23, 1880, d. Jan 22, 1961)
James H. Gorton has the following children:
Kenneth Bliven Gorton (my father) (b. May 9, 1918)
Thomas Elting Gorton (b. April 1, 1921)
Kenneth Bliven Gorton had the following children:
Ronnie Gail Gorton
George Kenneth Gorton (b. 1947)
Barbara Jo Gorton (b. 1949)
Kenneth Bliven Gorton Jr. (b. 1970) (me)
Thomas Elting Gorton had several children (names and dates unknown)
