Samuel Garfield, b.1634, was the oldest child of Edward Garfield(Gearfield) & 1st wife Rebecca. Samuel married 1st Susanna _____. She died May 2, 1652; married 2nd. Mary Benfield b. 1638 (England) on Sept 28, 1652. She died late 1708 or early 1709. She had not remarried after Samuel died Nov. 20, 1684. His numerous family all left Watertown early, and most of them settled in Lancaster. The numerous families of this name in Screwsbury, are, without much doubt, descended from this family of Samuel. Samuel was father to 15 children. Two (2) by his first wife Susanna and (13) by his 2nd. wife Mary. I have the names and birthdates of these children if that would help anybody.
