I am in search of a male Gardner descendant of John Gardner and Elizabeth "Betsy" Finch, who is willing to submit a sample for DNA testing with me. I am trying to prove or disprove the notion that my gg-grandfather William Finch Gardner was either son or grandson of John Gardner b. 1750. The person would ideally be a descendant of either James or Robert, since they migrated to Missouri and their biographies, done in the 1880's verified them as being sons of John and Betsy.
A recently found document states that William Finch Gardner was a son of a William Frederick Garner and Mary Ruth Fishburne. I have yet to find any documented evidence that this couple even existed.
