Both were born in early 1800s in Germany-perhaps Prussia area. There were at least 6 children - Fred Gardner (no info); Mary S. married Fred Klapper- both died in MO - at least 7 children; Chris who married a Louise (?), both probably died in New York; Henry Gardner..b- 1843 (no info); Charles Frederick Gardner..b- 1846 in Prussia married Sophia Wilmenia (Glintmneyer in Schenectady, NY on May 2, 1872) ..b- Germany--both are buried in FairviewCemetery, Smith County, KS.(Our line) ; Louise Gardner ..1850-1934) married Dick Klapper (..b. ?..d- 1917 in New York) It looks like there could have been 10 Klapper children.
I would be willing to exchange Gardner information... it seems this Gardner line came from Prussia, Germany.
