I am seeking any new Info on John Gardner:
John was born in 1789 in PA. he was of scotish descent.
I believe he was the son of Adam Gardner and Helen Mitchell
He married 1st to a Jane Cole and had 8 children:
who are believed to all being born in Preble CO. OH.
children were: Horatio Nelson Gardner, Lavina S. Gardner,
Ephtaim C. Gardner,Allen M. Gardner,Walter P. Gardner, Elvira "Ellie" J.Gardner, Marcus L. Gardner, and Edwin R. Gardner.
John's Wife Jane Cole died c.1838 and John married his 2nd. wife Caroline Cob in 1840 in Preble Co. OH. and they had 4 children: Elizabeth Ann Gardner, John Franklin Gardner, Evaline Mary Gardner b. 2-15-1844, and Perry V.R. Gardner.
These four children were born in Preble Co. OH.
John Gardner died in 1846 in Preble CO. OH.
I have no other data on any of these people other then Evaline Mary Gardner, my g-g-grandmother. She married in 1870 to John Anderson Ewing b. 10-29-1836 OH. d. 1878-80
John and Evaline Ewing made their home in Schuylar CO. MO.
and had two children: William Marion Ewing b. 1871 in MO> and Georgia Ann Ewing b. ca. 1877.
Evaline Mary Gardner, Ewing died before 1878 in Schuylar Co. MO. and is buried in New Harmony Cemetery Schuylar CO.
