ARTHUR E. GARDNER, age 92.
Born: December 6, 1915 in Bellingham, Washington.
Died: March 14, 2008 at the Hospice Care Center. Long-time Toutle resident.
Parents: JOSEPH & ALIDA (MANGS) GARDNER. Both schoolteachers. JOSEPH became a superintendent for the Toutle School. Served in the State Legislature.
Married:
1) BERNICE LINGENFELTER in 1947
2) DIANE RHOMBERG, in 1977.
GRANDPARENTS: (paternal) NAPOLEAN BONAPARTE (N.B.) and NELLIE LAPHAM GARDNER, settled in the Toutle Valley in 1882 and ran the general store.
