Hello, When I was about 16, my (now) husband showed me a graveyard in Maidstone, Vermont. It was nestled in the woods and had not been maintained at that time. I always wondered about it, and as I got into genealogy, I wondered if anyone even knew it was there. Today I asked Gerry (I'm 44 now) to take me there. I took pictures of all of the stones. I have your family's stones. Email me if interested. Names on the stones: Mrs. Tamzon, wife of Henry D. Shoff, Esq. d. Mar 4 1881 age 90 yrs. and 6 months. Mary E. Wife of... (broken, but sitting next to Charles G. Shoff (no dates or other on that stone) Ezekiel Gardner 1821-1892 "His wife" Amanda M. Shoff 1824-1900 Charles M. Gardner 1864-1926 Large stone, "Gardner" "Henry O. Shoff, Esq. Died Apr. 7, 1877 ae 86 yrs. 10 months" "Caroline I. wife of C. D. Keney, daughter of Henry D. SCHOFF (spelled differently) d. July 10 1857 ae 30 yrs. 7 mo" Other names in the Smith,Wright, Severy. Then there are a couple of new additions, since it seems they have reopened the graveyard. It is now being cared for.
