Looking for verification and any information on Jane Gardner, daughter of Thomas Stanton Gardner and his second wife Edna Amelia Clark. Thomas had a daughter Adra Jane who was born in NY in 1852 to his first wife, Lavinia Wellman. They divorced and he remairred to Edna Amelia. I need proof that the child Jane is not "Adra Jane" the child of his first wife, but the child of Thomas and Edna Amelia. I believe that Edna Amelia had a brother Handy Clark who listed his mother as Jane Shepherd and his father as Chauncy Clark on his soldier's home application. Is anyone working on these lines?
