Henry B. GARDNER, b. 1832, Ulster Co., NY - sons were named Charles A. GARDNER, Fernando George GARDNER and Alonzo Henry GARDNER
Henry B. GARDNER, b. 1832, Ulster Co., NY married in 1857 in Mosinee, Marathon Co., WI to Ellen R. PRIEST b. 1833. Henry died in the Civil War in 1864. Looking for Henry's parents and other relatives.
We have marriage certificate, death verification with Civil War papers, Children's names/age per Widow's Army Pension.
Henry B. GARDNER came west about the year 1853, and at first locating in Minnesota; but after a short residence there removed to Marathon County, WI and settled near Mosinee, being among the pioneers of that district. After coming to Marathon County he worked in the pineries and at lumbering and logging, was for some years engaged in shingle manufacturing, and for several years conducted a hotel called the "Prairie House," about four miles north of Mosinee on the Wausau and Stevens Point Road. Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. GARDNER were the parents of three children, all of whom are living, namely: Charles A., George F. (Fernando) and Henry A. (or Alonzo Henry?), lumber manufacturers, their mill being situated about six miles from Mosinee.
In 1863, Henry B. GARDNER enlisted in the Thirty-eighth Wisconsin V. I. and was killed in battle. (in 1864)

3) Alonzo Henry GARDNER, born about 1863

Charles A. GARDNER who died about 1900 was married to Effie Pauline LOCKE(born January 20, 1864 and died August 20, 1924 in Seattle, WA.)Charles A. Gardner was a logger who later became a lumber manufacturer.
