Except for an Aaron A Gardinier, age 76, and an Aaron A. Gardinier, age one-month, on the 1850 census of Columbia County, New York, I know of nothing else that might pertain to the sheriff by the same name in Fayette County, Texas. A search on Ancestry.com revealed two researchers on this family. If you are not a subscriber, e-mail me (click my name herein) and I will send you information from their postings to the World Tree Project. Perhaps Fayette County has a probate file or probate court records (in its probate minutes) on Sheriff Gardinier.
