Gardiner/Tanner 1800s, GA/FL
I am looking for Vincent/Vinson Tanner c1770/80 MD born or maybe VA born m. to ? she pos. b. in NC or GA; sons; John W. Tanner (b1813) & Wiley Tanner (b. 1816), plus two unknown girls born (born around 1820-1825). The family lived in the Wayne Co., GA area from about 1810-1830 and moved to N. FL around 183?-1840, then moved to Orange Co, FL around 1840-1850. Vincent/Vinson's first wife died? and he remarried Winnefred Gardiner, had more kids and later on, she moved to the Tampa, FL area.
Vincent/Vinson Tanner may be from Ireland/England/Germany?
John was a Hunter/Trapper/Fisherman by trade and served in the Army several times in GA and in FL. I do not know who Vincent/Vinson married the first time and I do not know his occupation. A hide tanner? Just curious!
I would appreciate having access to any family photos of Tanner families during the 1800's/early 1900's. There was a Miles Tanner who settled in Lake Mary, FL, but I do not know if he is related.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Sincerely, Lisa Looney
