I know you will think this strange but I just saw your message from a link to a link and so on. I am researching the Gardner (spelling may differ) family from Lancashire county England. My gggrandparents Joseph and Mary were married there and there is a John Gardener (note the spelling) who was a witness on their marriage certif. The year was 1853. I have been trying to find out who this John Gardener is in relation to Joseph and have run into a brick wall. I don't know if there would be any connection for us but I thought it was worth a message to you since the year was the same and the spelling of the last name is the same you list. What do you think?
