I have been researching the MOTHER of Francis "Frankie" Roberta Gause b. 1863 in Desoto Parish, LA. All I have on her is that her last name was GARDENER, and she married John GAUSE. When I came accross a DESJARDINS family posting stating the AMERICAN name was sometimes GARDENER. The DesJardins I know are French Canadian and they have a book on thier family line. I am wondering if my great-great grandmother _____ Gardener was related to a DesJardins family (as they were from LA, also). Anyone have any info on the GARDENER family from LA???
