I am looking for the parents/ancestors of Mary and Sarah Gardner, who are two sisters (I think) who both married Abijah Hitchings in Salem, Massachusetts. The VR's in Salem say their father was B. Gardner, ropemaker of Boston. Mary married Abijah Hitchings on 24 June 1775 in Lynn, Massachusetts and had three children and died 23 May 1807 in Salem. I don't know when Sarah married Abijah, but they had one child, Cynthia, born 07 October 1792. Or were Mary and Sarah the same person????? Who was B. Gardner, the ropemaker???
