Kay, I had originally searched census records and found William H. Garbett who was married to Cassie Price & I found her father Lewis Price and their family. In the city that my grandfather was born in I found William J. Garbett married to Emma Nichols on the 1920 census. I went back to 1910 and found them again, then I lost track of them. Then I went to ancestry.com searched for William Garbett in Iowa. I found several and then clicked on the one that said spouse was Emma. From there it has William H & Cassie & kids. It also has
Emma's siblings and her parents and grandparents. By the way, I have Cassie Price was born in August of 1890 (per the census and 8/14/89 per my notes) to Lewis Price (August 1854 bn in Wales) and Margaret (April 1861 born in Wales also.)I have William Howard Garbett was born on 9/14/89 rather than 1891. I could be wrong. I have that the death date is the same.
Just as an aside, your grandmother was the younger sister of my grandfather. I am looking at some notes that I made while talking to my father. It has my grandfather, William John Garbett 12/6/1908-8/74 as having a sister Margaret G. Metz (11/20/1910) married to Wesley Kenneth Metz on 1/12/29. They have a brother Raymond (12/26/12), sister Annie (6/6/15-5/19/25) and brother Roy (4/18/18-1960's). It sounds like we're second cousins. Let me know if you have more & if you want more. Pam
