Who is this Gant?

Fauquier Co. Minutes Book 4, pg 421, 1772. Timothy Gant/Gaunt, runaway servant of John Rogers.
Minutes Book 5, pg 235, 1775. Ran away from Rogers again.

John Rogers is my ancestor.

Also, I have a Robin Gant/Gaunt in Fauquier Co. who married into my Smith line.
