Hi!
Looking for descendants of Melmoth Gant(t) and Melvina Bryant. They were living in Dekalb Co, AL in 1900 and 1910 census. Melmoth b. 12 Aug 1834, Laurens Co, SC-d. 24 Sep 1919, Gadsden, Etowah Co, AL. Melvina b. 18 Apr 1863-d. 30 Oct 1938. Melmoth was the son of Martin Van Buren Gantt and Sarah "Sallie" Thomasson. Had family in Pickens Co, SC with wife, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Freeman. Daughter Sarah Ann Gantt Crane Boren's death certificate states that he was born in GA. Presumably left Pickens Co, SC shortly after 1880 census and probably went to GA. Have info on first family and also parents and siblings. Some pics of siblings and also of father, Martin. I am descended from Melmoth's sister, Terrissa Gantt and her first husband, Joseph Grisham Chappell.
