I, too, believe that Tabitha is the daughter of John Gannaway, Sr. and his second wife, Mary but I have no good data in my files with regard to Mary or the 2nd marriage date. Someone please help me with this. John Gannaway, Sr. died in 1783 and was over 100 years old. His first wife, Zaida, died around 1755 or so. I have a copy of a deed signed by John and his wife "Mary" in 1760. John outlived his son, John Gannaway, Jr. by at least 12 years. John, Jr. died 1771/2 in Buckingham County. Tom Valentine
