Tabitha Gannaway Parents

I believe Tabitha Gannaway, wife of Rev. War soldier Robert Lorton, was the daughter of John Gannaway Sr. and Mary Byrum. They were married in Prince Edward County June 10, 1760. It had been thought previously that Tabitha was the daughter of John Gannaway Jr. and Mary McGregor. Since she is not mentioned in John Gannaway Jr.'s will nor is she listed on a sampler made by Mary McGregor Gannaway, it is more likely she is the daughter of Mary Byrum and John Gannaway Sr. Robert Lorton's Captain, John Morton, was from Prince Edward County, VA. Mortons and Woodsons intermarried as did Woodsons and Gannaways.
