Many people who publish their Gann genealogy continue to have an incorrect entry for the mother of Sally PAINTER who married John Jack Gann in TN.
Many still list Elizabeth ?? as her mother but it has been "proved" that her mother was Demilia Broyles. Adam Painter, Sally's father, was married several times. His wife at the time of Sally's birth was Demilia BROYLES- part of the well researched BROYLES line of Culpepper Co. Va and East TN.
Adam PAINTER did marry an Elizabeth ?? but that did not happen until after 1800 when Sally was a young girl.
