jake and delilia gann (maybe sarah) pre-1900

looking for g.g.father "jake gann" he was born in tenn. according to death certificate of his son ( my grandfather, "joseph franklin gann" approx 1883- 1947.)grandpa joe died in poinsett co., arkansas. his mother is listed as "delilia (mac lemore) gann" but 1900 poinsett co ar.census shows a "sarah" as head of house, all the right kids and age approx 44...while 1920 census shows same children but now watched over by woman "delilia , or delithia" aged approx 56. My guess is jake must have died prior to 1900 census but no details to follow up on. is there anyone with info to help me?
