Bob,
My grandfather was Walker Gann, he had a brother named Bethel who was born somewhere around 1826. Bethel married a Mary Alley. This about all I have on this couple. I also have a copy of the Madison, N.C. paper the Messenger who came out with an article about the Gann's. It states that Ignatious Gann received a land grant from the State of N.C. and later sold this land to John and Sarah Smith in 1782. There is some who think that Ignatious Gann and Nathan Gann are the same person. If I can be of any more help please let me know.
