The Gann Histroical Society registry lists a Marion W. Gann born July 1887, which would fit the timeframe for your grandfather, but shows no location, spouse, or descendants. Siblings shown are Lamar C., George A., Sarah M. and Louisa E. (Aunt Edna, perhaps?)

Marion's parents were John Gann b. abt. 1858 and Elizabeth ??. John's parents were a Jefferson Gann, b. 1822 in TN and his wife Elizabeth Gann, b. abt. 1824 in TN, daughter of Thomas Gann b. 1796 TN, and Mary "Polly" McArster.
