I am a descendant of Ganns that settled in Winston County Alabama around 1900 who were originally from Georgia. Coleman Gann is my great, great grandfather who was born in Georgia and is buried in Lynn Cemetery, Lynn, Alabama. He is listed on the 1880 Cleburne County Alabama census as being the son of William(age 36)and Sarah F.(age 38)Gann. I am in search of information about the crossing over of these Ganns from Georgia to Alabama that might link them into the known Gann Families in Georgia. I am wondering at present if this William Gann may be the son of a William and Harriet Gann listed in Randolph County AL census records.
