From National Archives pension file. Private in Company E, 1st Regiment, Arkansas Infantry, enrolled Mar 1 1863 Fayetteville, Washington Co, Arkansas and mustered out Aug 10 1865 Ft. Smith, Arkansas, age 27; height 6 ft; complexion fair; eyes blue; hair light; where born Hamilton Tenn; Occupation farmer. Death noted in file. He was a farmer and lived on a farm at Jenny Lind until 1888 then moved to Bonanza, Sebastian Co, AR.
