Hello,
I have no names for the Gandy Family. But, I do have a copy of a transcript that was written by Christopher West when he was in the Battle of Trafalgar in Nov. 2005. At the bottom of his letter, he sent his kindest wishes to his parents and to Mr. and Mrs. Gandy. I have never been able to find the link to this Gandy family. I do know that Christopher West was from Middlesex and most of the family looked like they were born, married etc. in the Old church of St. Pancras. Christopher West was born in 1789 and married Sarah Ware in 1815. We have been told that she was his first cousin. They brought their family up in Teddington, Middlesex. His parents were Matthew West and Martha West nee Knight. The family seems to be a Royal Navy family. Some were Physician/Surgeons. I believe some of the family went to Christ Church School. One of his brothers, Matthew Thomas West born in 1791 and marrying Eliza Halden in 1730 went to Christ Church School also.
Thanks, and hopefully, you may have a connection,
