I was born in Kilgore, Texas to Arville O. and Cynthia Gandy. I have one brother, Darryl who still lives in east Texas. My grandmother was a Parsons who came from Missouri (in the Jefferson City area) to Arp, Texas in the late 1800s. She married Harvey Gandy and they had five children, A.O. (my dad died in 1990), H.L.(deceased), Finis (died at 8, buried in Arp, TX), Johnny (died in WWII, Nellie Dean who lives in Monroe, LA and Juanita (also deceased) My grandfather left my grandma and married again. That side of the Gandy family, I know nothing about...just that they lived just outside of Shreveport. My grandfather worked on the railroads. He died in probably, 1968, or somewhere around there.
