I found Noel Gandy in the 1850 Jones Co, MS census; he was 27 and married to Malinda,age 19. They had one son, Evander, age 1.(#52 house number & family number). Also in Jones Co. at #70 was John J. Gandy, age 47 and Spicey, age 34 with children: Evander,11; John,9; Augustus,7; Spicey,5; Francis M.,4; Patsy, 3; and Meshack,19. Living in the same household with them were Priscilla Johnson, age 82; Emily Sellers,18 and Priscilla Sellers, 15.
