This may be helpful to you. Our family descends from Wiley R. Gandy, brother of Thomas H. Gandy. Thomas was married to Melita Jones and had daughters Martha C., Elizabeth J., Mary Ann and Nancy P. before he married Permelia.Elizabeth J. married John J. Miller and gave birth to John T. Miller. Gandy departed this life at his residence in Dallas County...called on us to bear witness to a non-cupative will ...he bequeathed to this son James S ?...to John E. Gandy...to his daughter Virginia C. Gandy...to his daughter Sarah F. Gandy. signed V. T. Pierson and Jas M. Martin From abstract of minutes of Probate Court, Dallas County, AL Vol 4, pg 235-44 Oct. 27, 1868. Henry H. Gandy filed in court an instrument purporting to be the will of Thomas H. Gandy, and petitioned to have said will probated. Henry H. is a brother of Thom. H. Heirs named: widow, Parmelia, of Dallas County; Mary Ann Belvin, dau., of Bibb Co.,AL; Mary P., dau., residing out of state; Virginia C., wife of Henry Lawrence, residing in Texas; Sarah P., unmarried, Dallas Co, AL; Jas. T, a son, residing in Texas; John E, a son, residing in Dallas Co.; and John T. Miller, a grandson, whose mother was a dau. of the deceased, a minor, residing in Dallas Co.
