I think you are looking for Chires Holland Gandy born 1808 in Montgomery Co., GA. He married Elizabeth Martin in 1831 Pike Co., GA. Children were: Britain MacDonald Gandy 1839 GA, Richard Ross Gandy & William Jefferson Gandy b: 1833. Chires later married Martha Elizabeth Ann Ledbetter. Their children were: William Thomas Gandy 1846 AL, Benjamin Franklin Gandy 1848, Chires Holland Gandy Jr. 1851, Mary 1858, Nancy 1860, Henry, Loyza & Ellen Elizabeth Gandy 1855.

We show that his parents were most likely Brittain II Gandy and Mary Holland. Grandparents Brittain & Mary Ross and great grandfather Edward Gandy.
